Animals are not for entertainment

Animals are living beings, not possessions or means of production. The Party for the Animals wants to see an end to the use and killing of animals for entertainment, tradition or fashion.

Although Eindhoven announced an end to recreational hunting in its animal welfare policy, fishing is still permitted. Whether an animal crawls, flies or swims, the hunting ban should protect all animals. 

Animal-unfriendly entertainment such as circuses with animals or the international show jumping competition CSI Eindhoven will be banned.
The municipal council is calling on businesses to stop selling fur, angora and merino wool, cashmere (goat hair), down, silk, kangaroo leather and similar products.
